Aoife McDonald, Dietitian
Qualification & Education
Aoife is a CORU Registered Dietitian and a member of the Irish Nutrition and Dietetic Institute (INDI).
She has a PgDip. in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Chester, and completed a BSc. in Nutritional Science at University College Cork.
Aoife has worked as a Dietitian in hospitals across Manchester and the greater metropolitan area, and recently returned to Cork to continue work as a clinical dietitian in the Irish health service.
She has a wide range of experience across a number of specialities, including cardiology, surgery, weight management, malnutrition, diabetes, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and Coeliac disease.
Aoife has a specialist interest in digestive health and irritable bowel syndrome, and has completed extensive training on the delivery of the Low FODMAP Diet for functional gut disorders.
She is also an advocate for health promotion and nutrition education, and believes these are central to the prevention of chronic disease, such as heart disease and diabetes.
Aoife is extremely passionate about helping clients to tailor their diet in order to suit their needs, and make changes that will benefit their long-term health.
Outside of work, Aoife's interests include travelling to new cities and countries, reading, and trying out new recipes in the kitchen.
