Qualification & Education
Naomi obtained a BSc (Hons.) in Human Nutrition and Dietetics and she is one of Ireland’s leading experts in the nutritional management of Intestinal Failure. She is also a member of the INDI (The Irish Nutrition & Dietetic Institute).
After obtaining her degree Naomi started her career in the NHS. She has eighteen years clinical experience in the acute and chronic hospital setting in the UK and Ireland. She has an Advanced Diploma in Dietetic Practice and is also paediatric trained with the Irish Nutrition and Dietetic Institute (INDI). She is a facilitator for the INDI, has contributed to numerous publications and presented at the Irish Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition annual Conference in 2015 and for Baxter Healthcare in 2014.
Bridging the gap between theory and practice Naomi has developed excellent Counselling and Behaviour Change skills as she is a strong believer in the psychological aspect of dietary management. For example in 2013 she set up a baby weaning and healthy meals programme for busy families combining nutrition with practicality.
Naomi can provide a wide range of expertise in the dietary management of Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Weight Reduction, Diabetes, Cardiovascular Disease, Diverticular Disease, Crohn’s/Ulcerative Colitis, Coeliac Disease, Food Intolerances, Cancer and Nutrition, Kidney Disease, Underweight/ Malnutrition, swallowing problems and Intestinal Failure.
