Michelle Loughlin, Clinical Dietitian
Qualification & Education
Michelle is an Irish Dietitian registered with CORU and a member of INDI (Irish Nutrition & Dietetic Institute). She graduated with a 1st class Hons. Degree in Dietetics from the University of Ulster, Coleraine in 2010.
Michelle has since been focusing on Health Promotion. She has a keen interest in nutrition and its promotion and believes in the importance of educating people about nutrition and a healthy lifestyle to prevent and treat diet related illnesses.
Michelle has experience in hospital, community and private settings. She has worked in a specialised weight loss clinic and has worked with a wide range of conditions from Diabetes and heart disease to high blood pressure.
Most recently Michelle has been working as the Head of the Nutrition Department for a leading online education company. Michelle developed a range of Foundation and Advanced Online Nutrition courses and has taught >100,000 people globally. The courses were designed to educate people about nutrition and health and to give people the knowledge and skills to transform their health. Michelle taught topics such as personal nutrition, weight loss, sports nutrition, digestive health, men’s health, women’s health, PCOS, food intolerances and allergies, eating disorders, child nutrition, childhood obesity, vegetarian and vegan diets and more.
Michelle loves to educate and motivate others to change their lives and adopt a healthier lifestyle for good.
Michelle can provide a wide range of expertise in the dietary treatment of Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Weight loss, Sports nutrition, FODMAPs, Diabetes, Heart Disease, Coeliac disease, Undernutrition/Malnutrition, Food intolerances, emotional eating and more.
Michelle has a special interest in Mindfulness and is qualified in MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction) and has completed a level 1 diploma in MBCT Mindfulness Teaching from the Irish Mindfulness Institute. Michelle is also qualified in NLP.
Michelle is a big believer in balance and believes that is the key to success in long-term change. She is an avid cyclist and loves being active and trying new things.
